Born Bet 1863 and 1870. Torbay, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Imported only 1863 from Birth Date and marked as uncertain. Conflicting birth information: marriage states 1871, 1935 census states 1873, and 1945 census states 1876.

Marriage MARRIED AT TORBAY - Mr. Francis Gushue, tinsmith of the East End and Miss Bessie Gosse, daughter of the late Wm. Gosse of Torbay, were married at that place last evening by Rev. Fr. Clarke, P.P. The bride was attended by her cousin Miss Liddy and Mr T. Maher supported the groom.Mr. Edward Gosse, acting as "Father-giver". Both young people are very popular and the TELEGRAM wishes them a happy married life. -St. John's Evening Telegram, October 7, 1904

Note NI2386030711: Left one fifth share of estate of sister Emma Ann White in March 1911. The five heirs were: Samuel Goss, Thomas Goss, Mary Hannah Wheeler, Margaret Day and Elizabeth Gushue. The estate was valued at 79.52 but bequests to various religious organistaions took a good portion of that amount. Presumably other brothers and sisters died before this date.
