Biography

There are quite a number of conflicting genealogies for the descendents of Thomas and his wife (see the profile of Susanna (Locke) Gosse). Most of them agree that they had at least two sons, Robert and Richard, who moved to Harbour Grace in the early 1700s[1], and were the ancestors of the Harbour Grace and Spaniard's Bay Gosses [2][3]. I have tried to resolve these conflicts as best as possible, with the sources I could find; and was greatly assisted by Sue O'Neill (her blog[4], and personal communications), who in turn got much of her information from the research of Azariah Smith.
