He did intensive & meticulous research on the original docs. in France, in the part of Basse-Normandie from which Julien & Louis DesRoches emigrated to Malpeque, PEI, ca. 1731. He includes extensive background info on the area & on his sources. (Available only in French, as of 2012.)

As the two bios note, there were TWO Gosse sons who became priests, but whose given names we lack. The info is documented in the source cited in their profiles (Barriault). You can check pp. 57-58 in Part 2 of my English translation of Barriault's publication, at https://1drv.ms/b/s!ArT-xrapBXj5un5FprQJNo7rj_EX?e=O4Q5yi. (Barriault used original archival materials in Normandy.)
