Anastasie Gosselin was born on 5 December 1825 in Saint-Henri-de-Lauzon, and is the daughter of Antoine Gosselin, cultivateur (farmer), and Anastasie Bilodeau.[1] She was baptized on the same day as her birth, her godparents were Louis Gosselin and Anastasie Lacasse.[1] Her father was not present at the baptism.[1]
Anastasie married Anselme Ruel, son of Jean Ruel and Catherine Marceau, on November 28, 1843 at Saint-Henri, Lauzon, Bas-Canada. Present at the wedding were Antoine Gosselin, father of the bride, Louis and Pierre Gosselin, her uncles; Jean Ruel, father of the groom, Suspice and Marcel Ruel, the groom’s brothers, and many other relatives and friends.[2]
Anselme and Anastasie Gosselin had five children.

Anselme passed away on April 9, 1860 in Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse, making Anastasie a widow at only 35 years of age with a young family.[3]
Antoine Plante, husband of the late Archange Ratté, and Anastasie Gosselin, wife of the late Anselme Ruel, married on 11 June 1861 at Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse. Present at the wedding were the groom's son, Antoine Plante, the father-in-law of the bride, Jean Ruel, and the brother-in-law of the bride, Hospice Ruel, . [4]
Antoine and Anastasie Gosselin had (at least) one child together.
Marie Julie Anna (1870–1904)
Anastasie Gosselin passed away 22 March 1883 and was buried three days later on 25 March 1883 in the cemetery of Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse. Present at the burial were Charles Fournier and Edmond Côté.[5][6]

Obituary
Anastasie Gosselin, daughter of Antoine Gosselin and Anastasie Bilodeau, was born and baptized on 5 Dec 1825 at Saint Henri, Lauzon, Lévis, Québec, Canada. She married Anselme Ruel, son of Jean Baptiste Ruel and Catherine Marceau, on 28 Nov 1843 at Saint Henri. Anastasie was widowed in 1860, when she was 34 years old. On the 11th of June of the following year, she married widower Antoine Plante. Anastasie was interred in the parish cemetery of Saint Charles de Bellechasse on 25 Mar 1883.
