Marie Archange Gosselin was born on Aug. 2 1781 at Contrecoeur and baptized there the next day. She was the daughter of Joseph Francois Gosselin and Marie Louise Labossiere. She was their sixth child and third daughter of an eventual ten that would be comprised of five girl and five boys. Sadly, four of the children would die young or as infants. The remaining six lived to adults and married, but two of them died within a few years of their marriage.
She was one of the three children who all died within 11 days in the fall of 1783, possibly due to a cholera epidemic. She died on Nov. 1, 1783 and was buried the same day. She was only two years old.
