JOSEPH GOTT OF LITTLE GOTT'S ISLAND
      Joseph, son of Daniel and Hannah Norwood Gott, born March 4, 1766, at Mt. Desert, married April 26, 1790, Lydia, daughter of James and Martha Andrews Barton who were married at Mt. Desert, Sept. 7, 1778. Joseph Gott lived on Bar or Little Gott's Island and all his children were born here. Joseph died April 29, 1839, Lydia, Aug. 10, 1831 (1832).

5.     Ruth, b. April 20, 1799; m. Oct. 4, 1817, Francis, s. of William and Eunice Bunker Gilley. Res. Placentia, then rem. to Orland, Me.
6.     Daniel, b. Sept. 25, 1801; m. 1st. Nov. 22, 1827, Lucy, dau. of Benjamin and Hannah Norwood Benson. Benson was an early settler on the west side of Bass Harbor. Daniel m. 2nd, Dec. 6, 1832, Huldah, sister of his 1st wife; m. by Rev. E. Eaton. Dec. 24, 1832.

8.     Joanna, b. Aug. 20, 1805; m. Jan. 5, 1828, Daniel Robinson.
