Henry died at the age of about 30 on 11 November 1859 in , Grant, Kentucky, United States.[1]
Research Notes
Worked as a constable. Court records also show he owned a tavern in 1853. He died of Consumption in Nov 1859. In 1860 on census, widow Mary F. (Snell) Gouge, and her two daughters Flora B. and Mary were living in town. 6 months later, she relinquished custody of them in court. A relative of hers (brother????) Doctor C.B. Snell was appointed their guardian.
In 1870 they were living with their Aunt Marietta (Gouge) Kendall and her husband Alfred.
It appears that they first child Emma must have died before 1860 since there is no mention of her in the court case, or on any census with either the mother, or the Snells or Kendalls. I find no record of her anywhere.
