Biography

Mary Gough, born July 1839, was the first child to Michael Gough and Ellen Foody. She was baptised into the Roman Catholic Church in the same month joining the Parish of Maitland. Father's occupation: servant

Mary married George Pluis, a farmer from Canoblas, at Orange. Witnesses: Michael O'Neil, Ellen Cullen.

Mary died from bronchitis, after being ill for 7 days. A doctor was not called until the day of her death. She was buried at Cargo. Her husband registered her death at Molong, recording her age as 41 and they had 1 male and 5 female children living.
