Barbara Gough is the daughter of Henry Gough and Barbara Calthorpe.[1] In 1770 she married Isaac Spooner, a wealthy Birmingham businessman, and they had ten children including Barbara Anne Spooner, who married anti-slavery campaigner William Wilberforce.
