Biography

Caroline Gold was born about 1813 at Dartford, Kent, England and baptised on the 30th May 1813 at Holy Trinity, Dartford, Kent, England, the daughter of James Gold (labourer) and Hannah Gold of Dartford^[1]

Her surname was spelt differently in various records as Gold/Golds/Gould.

On the 1st April 1832 Caroline Gould, spinster, married Frederick John Brookwell, bachelor, at Ss Peter & Paul, Farningham, Kent, England. Witnessed by Lucy Gould, James Imms & James Sharp (Parish Clerk)^[2].

In 1876, Caroline was resident at Bromley Union (workhouse?) when she died aged 64 years. She was buried on the 4th December 1876 at St. Katherine, Knockholt, Kent, England^[3].
