CENSUS INFORMATION: In the 1841 UK Census, she is listed as Betsey Gould, aged 5, born in County. She is living in Lifton parish with her parents, 3 sisters and a brother. (HO107/232/13, Folio 5, Page 3).
In the 1851 UK Census, she is listed as Betsey Gould, a servant aged 14, and born in Lifton. She is living in Lifton Village, with her parents, a brother, 3 sisters, a cousin and a visitor. (HO107/1884, Folio 256, Page 28).
In the 1861 UK Census, she is recorded as Betsy Argall, aged 24, born in Lifton. She is living with her husband and daughter, Ellen, in Lifton (#2279). (RG9/1464, Folio 52, Page 12).
In the 1871 UK Census of Lifton, she is listed as Betsy Argall, aged 34 and born in Lifton. She is living in Dunce Hill, Lifton with her husband, two sons and a daughter. (RG10/2149, Folio 56, Page 23).
