By 1871, George was widowed and living in Haldimand with widowed Margaret Vernon and the Halliday family. In 1874, he passed away in Haldimand. The death record posted on the Findagrave site [3] indicates he was a widowed, 84-year-old Yeoman born in England and that his physician was Dr. Halliday.
