Possibly he is the Thomas Golding christened 06 Jan 1610 at All Saints, Sudbury, Suffolk, England, father Ruben[1]
May have married a Sarah Palmer in the United States, around 1665[2] However other trees show Sarah Palmer as wife of his son Peter. Sources needed to clarify this.
It is doubtful if this person was in Massachusetts. There are no records to support his existence in Massachusetts. He was not mentioned in Savage, Anderson, or Colket The 1693 death certainly did not occur in Massachusetts.
This person, alleged father of Peter Golding/Goulding (also searched Gould and Gold) is not mentioned in Anderson, Savage or Colket (Compendiums of immigrant ancestors.) As a founder of Dorchester He should be listed in the History of the Town of Dorchester, but is not. I even tried Thomas G* died 1693 in Mass and got no hits that fit him. He may well be the father of Peter, but it is unlikely that he migrated to Massachusetts and left no records. Even though Peter is mentioned in some journal articles they don't mention parents. As recently as 1985 persons were still publishing queries about his parents.[3]

I believe that the 1693 death should be changed to an unknown place (not MA) and that he should be removed from the PGM project.
