Biography

William was the son of Richard Goulston, Esq., of Widicot. WIlliam was knighted in 1680 and bought the manor of East Bradenham in 1676. He died aged 47.

Sir William was an active member of James II's Parliament and a prominent resident of Whitechapel.[1] Goulston St, Whitechapel, was named for him.

He married Friedisweld (or Frideswide) Morris. They had three children: daughter:

  • Friediswed (Goulston) Bruere
  • Mary Goulston
  • Morritius Goulston

Sir William was buried in St Giles Churchyard, Wyddial, East Hertfordshire.[3]
