Biography

Giuseppa Governali is born and baptized 8 October 1887, the daughter of Angelo Governali and Maria Antonia Ruffino. Her godparents are Mariano Saccaro and Rosa Chirco, a married couple.^[1]

Giuseppa marries Vincenzo Collura on 22 October 1905^[2].^[3]

Vincenzo's immigration date is not yet known.

In 1908, Giuseppa and his brother-in-law, Giovanni, immigrate to Ramos, Louisiana, in the United States, to join Vincenzo, who has paid their passage.

This record describes Giuseppa: she is 5 feet 3 inches tall with a rosy complexion and chestnut hair.

Also traveling with them is Giuseppe Governali, 26 yrs old (b. 1882), of unknown relation. He is married to Vincenza Salemi and is joining his brother in law Antonino Damiani.^[4]
