I am pleased to confirm and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site
Happy tree climbing

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile page.
The tags you have entered are good, if you click the green volunteer box, we will be able to confirm your membership.
Any problems please let me know
Take care Karen WikiTree Greeter
Some people are known by a different name to their actual name, as an example my grandfather was called Walter, yet his siblings all called him Pete, it is always good to double check your information, I have followed too many wrong branches by jst accepting other people information
Take care Karen
I noticed your comments on the profiles of your great-grandparents Mary (Smith) Gower and Tom Gower. I hope you hear from the profile manager soon.
You are welcome to use our database and G2G Forum for research. If you are interested in collaborating on the Gower and related families, please visit your Followed Tags page to add some information to your Tags and Comments. We use the tags to help you connect with others interested in that name and to determine what you would like to know about in the Weekly emails from WikiTree. You can see some examples of Tags & Comments by visiting my profile or Ginny's.
After you have made your changes, scroll down and click the "Save Tag(s) and Volunteer" link in the dark green box. The Greeters will be alerted and can get you confirmed. Don't worry, you would only be volunteering to abide by our community guidelines and collaborate on profiles. As mentioned by Ginny, you can sign the Honor Code after you have been confirmed.
If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let us know by using the "reply" link under our comments or by clicking our names to visit our profiles. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message.

I would say they are probably not the same person. Finding people with similar names and ages is actually pretty common. If you would like to add profiles for your branch of the Gower family, we would love to have you join us.

I am sorry you are having trouble with the membership process. Here are some steps that should help.
Try these steps to become a volunteer: 1) Volunteer - there is a green link labeled Volunteer in the orange box which will take you to this page: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Volunteers
2) From there add tags to show your genealogical interests such as tags for family names of mother, grandmothers, locations. Each tag should have one surname and then in the description field add a location or why that surname is important to you. These tags help you to connect to others who are researching those surnames and locations and helps others to find you.
3) Be sure to Volunteer- a dark green rectangle
Then any greeter will confirm your membership on WikiTree.
Once you complete that and are confirmed, you will have an opportunity to read and sign the Honor Code.
If you have any other issues, please let me know.
