Stanley Gower was born in Farnham Parish, Old Rappahannock County, Colony of Virginia on 17 Nov 1679[2] to Francis Gower, Jr. and Ann Clark.[3]

April 6, 1693 - Stanley Gower, infant son of Francis Gower, summoned to answer the bill of James Orchard.[4]

It appears that Stanley married twice, first to Sarah before 18 Oct 1701 when they sold a 350-acre tract of land, "formerly in the tenure of Henry Clarke decd which land was divided per consent and good liking of Angell Jacobus & my father Francis Gower decd." On 2 Dec 1701, Sarah is referred to as now wife of Stanley Gower when she appoints Samuel Bayley to be her attorney and acknowledges her right to dower in the 350-acre tract of land, suggesting she may have previously been married. [5]

Sarah died before 1 Jun 1714, when Stanley married Winifred (Green) Spencer, widow of Edward Spencer in Richmond County, Virginia.[6][7] Winifred was the sister of Esther Green who married Stanley's brother John Gower.

In the will of Henry Clark April 18 1678, Stanleys grandfather , Stanley is listed as a witness and age 19, making his birth year 1659. So the birth year above has to be for another Stanley Gower, possibly a son?

Gower-728 and Gower-399 appear to represent the same person because: Same birthdate, same birthplace

I am really confused about this profile. I found this, and I can not figure out where to put it.

The reason I am confused is there may have been an earlier Stanley Gower. See dates.

Teresa, you could add the information under "Research Notes" stating that the information could refer to a different Stanley Gower as you have stated.
