Biography

No specific record has been found yet to suggest that Thomas was born in Quainton, Buckinghamshire but there is a baptism record for a Thomas Grace dated 29 November 1727 in Findmypast that could be for him with 'Place: Various Parishes'!

Thomas, son of Thomas Grace & Elizabeth, was baptised on 29 November 1727 in Various Parishes, Buckinghamshire, England.[1]

There is also a record from the same database, based on the Buckingham Baptism Index, which names a specific location as Stoke Mandeville that is not far away from Quainton, on the south side of Aylesbury.

Thomas, son of Thomas Grace & Elizabeth, was baptised on 29 November 1727 in Stoke Mandeville, Buckinghamshire, England.[2]

Both listings have his parents as father Thomas and mother Elizabeth.

Thomas married Mary Unknown and raised 4 children in Quainton, Buckinghamshire, England.

A Thomas Grace was buried on 7 December 1794 at Quainton with his residence given at the time of death as Maddeson, in the Buckinghamshire Burials Index, which is surely a transcription error for Waddeson! Waddeson is about 21/2 miles (4kms) south of Quainton.

Thomas was buried on 7 December 1794 in Quainton, Buckinghamshire, England.[3]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

Can you provide the actual sources for the birth and death of Thomas in Quainton please, on or about those dates? I have sourced one earlier family and trying to see if they are connected to his. An Ancestry FT has a different Thomas not from Quainton as the father of your family but seems unlikely. Regards Chris L
