Biography
Walter was born in 1898, the son of Patrick Joseph Grace (abt.1867-1911) and Elizabeth Marguerite Cook (1879-1937). He is likely named after his maternal grandfather, Walter Cook.
Walter enlisted in the A.I.F. on 9th October 1917 at Albert Park. Regimental No. 3307, 5th Battalion, Rank: Private. [1] He was discharged 27th June 1919; Medically unfit due to War Service.
In 1923 in Victoria, he married Rita Constance Foreman (1899-1977). [2]

- GRACE—FOREMAN.—On 22nd December, at Congregational Church, Albert Park, by Rev. Thomas Webb, Walter, eldest son of Elizabeth and the late Joseph Grace, to Rita Constance, youngest daughter of Clare and the late Edward Foreman, both of Albert Park.
They had 2 children:—
- Melville Harrison Grace (abt. 1924-?) m. June Amelia Hendra 1950.
- Trevor Milton Grace (1926-1984).
Rita died in 1977, age 78.
Walter passed away in 1992, aged 93 [93y 6m 11d]. [4]
Following a service at Springvale Botanical Cemetery on 1 April 1992, his remains were cremated, and placed in Diosma, Wall AK, Niche 12. — In Perpetuity. [5]
