Biography

Mollie Hill Graddy was born 10 December 1863 in Hopkins County, Kentucky.^[1][2][3][4] She was the daughter of Needham Graddy and Aseanath "Senah" (Dobyns) Graddy. In the 1870 U.S. Census, Mollie Graddy was recorded as 6-years old living in Hopkins County, Kentucky with her mother and siblings.^[1] Note, her father passed away in February.

She was married about 1883 to John C. B. Potts.^[2] They had three known children:

1. Daisy Greek Potts ^[2]
2. Golden Gladys Potts ^[2]
3. Gular Brakenridge Potts

In the 1900 U.S. Census, Mollie Potts was recorded as 36-years old living n Hopkins County, Kentucky with husband John and daughters, Greek and Gladys. They were recorded as married for 17 years and she was the mother of two children.^[2]

Mollie (Graddy) Potts, age 79, died 22 January 1943 in Dawson Springs and was buried at Dalton Cemetery, Dalton, Hopkins County, Kentucky.^[3][4]
