Biography

Ann Jane, or Jennie, was born in Melrose, Massachusetts, in 1875, the daughter of James and Ann (Duggan) Grady. ^[1]

She was admitted to the Massachusetts School for the Feeble-Minded in 1880, when she was 5 years old, and was listed as a patient at the Boston institution in the census that year.^[2] (She was also enumerated with her family in Melrose in this census.^[3] ) She was discharged in July of 1880. ^[4]

She died of epilepsy when she was 20 years old and is buried at the St. Mary's Cemetery in Malden, Massachusetts. ^[5]
