Although his tombstone states he was born in 1917,[1] Reginald was almost certainly born on 1 August 1918 in Washington, D.C., the son of Henry Grady and Lucretia Del Valle. [2][3]
In 1940, he was listed as a "20-year old son, born in Washington, D.C.," living in his father's household in Washington, D.C. His father's occupation was "Assistant Secretary of State."[4] In 1935, the family lived in Berkeley, California.
He passed away on 8 February 1997 and was buried in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma, San Mateo County, California.[5]
