I was born a Graf and married a Douglass. My father, John John Graf was the 9th of 15 children born to John Graf & Magdalena Kastiner. John & Magdalena immigrated from Boscar, Austria-Hungary. My Mother's father, John William Coppen, was born in England to Robert Copling (aka Copeland, Coppen) & Martha Thacker. Four children were born to Robert & Martha: Sidney Robert Coppen in 1888; Edward G. Coppen in 1895; Alice Maud Coppen in 1897; and my grandfather, John William Coppen in 1892. He immigrated from England to USA and married Georgia Ethel Davis. John William Coppen & Georgia Ethel Davis had five children: Elaine Irma Coppen 1918; Edith Elizabeth Coppen in 1920. John William Coppen, Jr., in 1921; Helen Clair Coppen in 1922 and Walter Davis Coppen in 1926.
