Biography
Seeth Grafton was born at Salem in the spring of 1665, the second of four daughters of John and Seeth (Gardner) [Conant] Grafton.
She married, first, William Andrew, before July of 1685, when a Salem church record -- cited in a 1996 article in The American Genealogist by Craig Partridge -- refers to her as "Mrs. Andrew"[1]; Torrey's "New England Marriages" places the marriage "by 1684". William and Seeth had seven children; William died on 13 June 1702.
Torrey places the widowed Seeth's second marriage, to Zechariah Hicks, at Cambridge in 1704; a history of the town of Cambridge specifies 22 June of that year,[2] which may be the date of the couple's intentions as the more recent Partridge 1996 TAG article offers 26 June.
Partridge notes that Seeth Hicks "was still living in 1745".
