Moses Gragg was born on September 20, 1791, in Groton, Massachusetts. He had several children with Rebecca Newell Alden whom he married in 1820, in Dedham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. Moses Gragg passed away on April 30, 1885, in Cambridge, Middlesex COunty, Massachusetts, at the impressive age of 93.[1][2]

The Norfolk Inn (and tavern)

16 June 1818 Moses Gragg and Francis Alden purchased Marsh's Tavern from Martin Marsh for $5,000. They renamed it the "Norfolk Hotel". But many called it Gragg and Alden's. They built quite a business out of it.[13][14][15]
