Will dated Mar 24 1813; I bequeath unto my youngest son Joseph GRAHAM all my land which I possess in Greene Co on the south side of Nolichucky River containing by estimation one hundred & thirty acres by him to be enjoyed .. forever after he becomes 21

WILL: Whereas I James GRAHAM of Greene County and state of Tennessee being weak in body but of perfect mind & memory and calling to mind the mortality of my body & that it is appointed to all men to die, do make & ordain this my last Will and Testament in the (page 56) form and manner following, that is to say First of all I commend my soul into the hands of Almight God who gave it & my body to the dust from whence it was taken to be intered in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors and so touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me, I bequeath and dispose of in the following manner. Item I will that all my just debts & funeral charges be paid out of my estate by my Executors. Item I give & bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah GRAHAM the use of my dwelling House which is on my land lying in Greene County afforesaid & on the south side of Nolichucky River & adjoining the land I now live on (which has been sold) during her remaining my widow & also the one half of the cleared land during the above said term of time. I also give unto her two beds & their furniture, one horse, two Cows, two sheep & four hogs, which she is to have the choice of amongst my stock with the houshold furniture, the use of timber for firewood & to repair the fences, also all the grain on hand & one half of that which is growing, for her use during her abovesaid state of widowhood. Item I bequeath unto my youngest son Joseph GRAHAM all my land which I possess in Greene County on the south side of Nolichucky River containing by estimation one hundred & thirty acres by him to be enjoyed & possessed forever after he arives at the age of twenty one, excepting the house that is on it, & one half of the cleared land which his mother is to have the profits of during her remaining my widow after which to be my son Josephs forever. Item I give unto the two sons of my son George GRAHAM (namely James GRAHAM and George GRAHAM) the sum of one hundred dollars each, to be raised out of my Estate, & kept by my Executors for them to receive & forever possess, when they arive each at the age of twenty one years. Item I will that my land lying in Washington County containing One hundred & Eleven acres be sold after my decease by my Executors. Item I bequeath unto each of the children of my oldest son John GRAHAM Deceased, the sum of Six cents to be paid to them out of my Estate. Item I give unto my sons Charles GRAHAM, James GRAHAM, Thomas GRAHAM and William GRAHAM the sum of Six Cents each to paid out of my Estate. Item I give unto my daughters Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth Jane, Margaret & Ruth the Sum of six cents each to be raised out of my Estate Item I will that all the rest of my property be sold by my Executors after my decease of the money equally divided amongst all my Daughters. Item I make and ordain my trusty friends Henry EARNEST Esq. & John LOTSPEICH the sole Executors of this my last Will & Testament disannuling all other Wills or Testaments by me made and ratifying & confirming this & this alone to be my last Will & Testament. In witness whereof the said James GRAHAM hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal in our presence who in the presence of each other Saw him sign seal & pronounce the same as his Last Will & Testament this twenty fourth day of March in the year of our Lord 1813.
