Governor and Commandant of Malta's wife, of Valleta, Malta.
Georgina Graham was the 2nd surviving daughter of Maria Magdalena de Jenatsch and Lt-Colonel Colin Dundas Graham, Governor of St Mawes, who was made Knight of the Royal Order of King William I of the Netherlands in 1818. She was born on 11 April 1788 at Valkenburg, Netherlands
Her baptism was recorded at Valkenburg "Georgine, daughter of Heer Colin Dundas Graham and Maria Magdalena Jenatsch."
In 1817 she married Lt-General Sir Henry Balneavis, later Governor and Commandant of Malta, with issue four sons and one daughter.
"Mrs Balneavis, the wife of Lieut- Colonel Balneavis, gave birth to a son [Michael George]." Unknown publication c14 Mar 1832.
She died on 1 July 1854 in Malta, aged 66. Her widower survived her by three years and died on 16 July 1857. They were buried in Msida Bastion Cemetery (now known as the Msida Bastion Historic Garden, located in a sunken garden on St Philip's Bastion in Floriana), Valletta.[1]
