Biography

Richard was born in 1883, the son of William Grainger and Mary WRIGHT (1862-1896). Enlisting with the Notts and Derby Regiment, he transferred to the Royal Marines Light Infantry Chatham Division ^{[1] [2]} and was killed in action in 1915.
