Biography

Gabriel Grandval volunteered for voyage to Biloxi, Louisiana, New France colony arriving on January 8th, 1721 with up to 88 women aboard the French flute la Baleine. Her birth year of 1700 is calculated from the passenger list created in 1720 when she was 20. ^[1][2]

Gabriel Grandval, daughter of Jean Grandval & Jeanne Bondin, married Jean Belsaguy, son of Dominque Belsaguy & Louise Marguerite Rousseau, a native of the Diocese of Bayonne, France. He was born 1718 and became a settler at Mobile. He died on 07 Apr 1740. See also below.
