Sadly, Elizabeth and Daniel Dane lost four of their five children very young. Nathaniel, Mary and Hannah all died in July and August 1738 of Diptheria [4][5] Daniel died in Sept 1727 at only one and a half years old.[6] Only daughter Elizabeth survived to adulthood where she married cousin Jonathan Poor. [7]
In her will, Elizabeth Grainger Dane/Dean included bequests to her grandchildren (all children of daughter Elizabeth) who are Daniel Poor, Jonathan Poor, Peter Carlton, Dean Carlton, Hannah Poor, and Betty Poor.[8]
