William Grant was born on the 16th of August, 1864, in Huntly, Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom, the son of Donald and Helen (Murrison) Grant.[1]
At 6, in 1871, he was living with his family at 36 Old Road at Huntly, Aberdeenshire. His elder siblings were Mary (16), James (14), Andrew (12), and his twin George (6).[2]
At 16, In 1881, he was a Tailor Apprentice with an Allardyce family living at Hawkhall, King Edward Parish, Aberdeenshire.[3]
At 24, He married, Elisabeth Todd at Row, Helensburgh, Scotland on 14 Feb 1889.[4]and they had 4 children.
At 26, in 1891, he and Elisabeth with children Ellen and Peter, were living at 8 Northfield Place, Old Machar, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire.[5]
At 36, in 1901, he and Elisabeth (40) with children Helen (11) and Agnes (1) were living at 13 Rosevale Street, Govan, Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom.[6]
At 66, he died probably in Manitoba, Canada, possibly about 1930.[7]
