Biography

Amos Grant, born 22 Sep 1765 @ Stonington, Connecticut, was the fifth child of Sarah (Breed) & Joshua Grant [1],[2].

He married about 1788 @ North Stonington, Connecticut, ____ Edgecomb . They had at least 2 children, born at North Stonington [3]:

  1. Amos Grant; d. @ Griswold, Connecticut; private in militia 1813
  2. Gurdon Grant, b. about 1791; married 1) @ Troy, New York, Lydia Silliman, daughter of Robert Silliman; d. 1837 or '38; married 2) (unknown); d. 6 Dec 1862, age 71

Amos Grant died 10 Apr 1821 [4] @ North Stonington. His grave is represented to be in Grant Cemetery, North Stonington, New London County, Connecticut, USA [5]. No grave marker is depicted.
