Biography

William Archibald known as Willie Grant was born in Victoria, Australia, on 5 July 1911. His parents were Archibald Grant and Charlotte Ruth Gordon.

His family always celebrated his birth on the 4th, however, the certificate of birth gained many years later shows he arrived on the fifth.

Cause of Death was from cancer on 7 December 1926; it occurred in the family home at 93 Rosedale Street, Coopers Plains, Brisbane Queensland. He had developed a lump on his arm from a bump at football; it surfaced and grew at a rapid rate causing hospital doctors to realise they could do nothing, so he was sent home.

Buried with his father and his mother's ashes at Toowong Cemetery Brisbane Queensland Australia.
