Biography

Lucy Knowlton Grant was born 2 June 1767 at Mancester by the Sea, the daughter of John Grant(1741-1776) and Lucy Knight (1743 -)

A marriage to Artemus P. Parmenter 27 November 1788 in Northfield, Franklin, Massachusetts has been disproven by the info in the 1750 census about Artemas’s mother in law versus her birth record.

No other husband is proposed. Nothing further is known of her.

Artemas was a popular name in Massachusetts due to Artemas Ward of Sudbury. Many named their sons Artemas. Many potential wives exist for each Artemas. In this case Lucy Knowlton Grant and Sarah Elizabeth ‘Lucy’ Grant.

I am disconnecting Lucy Grant from Artemas. Her mothers information disproves this possibility. I suspect she died before mattage.

Grant-15874 and Grant-5878 appear to represent the same person because: Lucy Sarag Elizabeth Grant is well documented and is the sameperson as Lucy Grant, thought another Lucy (Knowlton) Grant exists which uses mostly identical information, who I think likely died in childhood.

Grant-15874 and Grant-5878 are not ready to be merged because: Too much conflicting information about Lucy's family. Lucy herself seems to be duplicated, but her family members need to be straightened out.
I took a look at the comparison of these two profiles and have not found any parents or others to be straightened out. Could you please elaborate?

Grant-15874 and Grant-5878 appear to represent the same person because: Only one source found on Ancestry.com shows her name as Sarah. All other sources show Lucy. These two are duplicates and need to be merged. Please approve and merge.
