DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Harvey by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Harvey:

I am a direct descendant of Harvey's 1/2 brother, John Quincy Grant, Jr. I have done extensive DNA testing. If you look at the Grant DNA Project at Familytreedna.com, you will find my results tied to Kit 21340. Our line of Grants descends from Peter Grant, captured by Oliver Cromwell at the Battle of Dunbar (Scotland) in 1650, survivor of the Durham Death March and eventually sent to the new world as an indentured servant.
