Biography

William was born about 1870.

He was the son of James Grant and Christina Cairns.

In 1871 William was living in Lasswade Parish with his parents and siblings.[1]

In 1881 William lived in Auchendinny, near Penicuik and was a Scholar. He lived there with his parents and siblings.[2]

In 1891 William lived in Auchindinny with his father, his siblings and his step-mother. William was a Grocer.[3]

In 1901 William was living in North Street, Rosskeen with his wife and two sons. He was a Carder. [4]
