Biography
Helen was born on 29 April 1826 in West Linton, Peebles-shire, Scotland, the daughter of Lewis Grant and Elizabeth Hogg.[1][2]
She married Archibald Affleck on 23 July 1846 in Penicuik, Midlothian.[3]
In 1851 Helen was living at NivensKnowe with her husband and two children. [4]
In 1861 Helen was living at Marwell Cottage, Lasswade with her husband and seven children. [5]
In 1871 Helen was living at No 1 Carrington with her husband and eleven children. [6]
In 1881 Helen was living at 2 Duke Street, Lasswade with her husband and five of their children.[7]
In 1891 Helen was living at 1 Front Row West End Cottages, Loanhead, Lasswade with her husband and two of their children. [8]
