Biography
bought the estate of Kincardine O'Neil and was a Justice of the Peace. His father and grandfathers were both out in the rebellions. He was a merchant in Norway where he made a fortune. His son, James compared notes with Charles Grant Later Lord Glenelg, and both realised they were quite closely related - unfortunately family papers were lost when the ship he was aboard, foundered off the coast of India
