Martha (Grant) Ewers was an Iowan.

Martha Pamelia Grant was born on February 22, 1862 to William C. Grant and Mary E. Chandler [1].

In 1870, Martha (6) lived in Maquoketa, Jackson, Iowa with her father William (50), her mother Mary (45), her brother Samuel Grant (22), her sister Eliza Grant (18), brother Robert Grant (14), brother Joseph Grant (12), brother William Grant (8) and younger brother Lee Grant (4)[2].

In 1880, Martha (18 - as it states in the census) continued to live in Maquoketa with her father William (61), her mother Mary E. (57), sister Ann E. - same sister as Eliza (27), brother Robert G. (26), brother Joseph L. (22), brother William P. (20) and Lee (16)[3].

On September 9, 1884, Martha married H.S. Ewers in Jackson County, Iowa[4].

On November 5, 1885, Martha and H. Scott gave birth to their son Clane Alonzo Ewers in Grant, Plymouth, Iowa[5].
