Biography

1765 Nevinson was born to Robert and Anna Grant at Medway and christened at Holliston, Middlesex, Massachusetts.
1776 Project
Private Nevinson Grant served with Bristol County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Nevinson Grant is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A047084.
1781 Nevinson served very briefly in the American Revolution as the war was winding down. He spent two weeks, as a private from Massachusetts in Philip Ammidon's Company of Colonel Deane's regiment, on duty in Rhode Island. He settled briefly in Boston after being discharged.
1786 Nevinson married Sarah Moulton, daughter of Nathaniel and Anna (Kimball) Moulton, at Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
Abt 1789 Nevinson and Sarah moved to Stratton Gore and lived there with their children the next five years.
1794 Nevinson's wife Sarah died. He then married Experience.
By "1800" Nevinson and Experience had two children and had moved to Shaftsbury, Bennington County, Vermont. After that they lived at different periods either in Arlington, Bennington County or Stratton, Windham County.
By 1820' Nevinson had sold off the last of his property in Stratton. At the time the 1820 Census was taken, Experience had become a widow and was living alone in Arlington.[1]
