Biography

Ann was born at Heck, Yorkshire[1][2] and baptised at Snaith in 1814. She was the daughter of George Graves and Ann Fox.[3]

She married William Emmitt at St Laurence, Snaith in 1837.[4][5]

At the 1841 census Ann, William and their children lived with Ann's mother Ann Fox and brother George Graves at Heck.[6]

They had moved to South Milford, Yorkshire by the 1851 census where they lived with their son James.[1] Ann and William remained at South Milford for the 1861 census. James had moved out by this time.[2]

Ann passed away at South Milford in 1865. She was buried at St. Laurence Priory Churchyard in Snaith.[7][8]
