DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:

This profile does not appear to require project management so I am removing US Southern Colonies as a co-manager. If anyone disagrees and thinks the project needs to be involved, please let me know.

Hi! This profile had the project box for the US Southern Colonies Project. I've added the project account in order to clear the suggestion, but I've also added the "Needs Project Attention" category for further review (might be a Southern Pioneers Project profile; might not need project management).

Cheers, Liz

P.S. William & Mary, if you get a chance, could you take a look - see #Research Notes. Thanks in advance!

removed "|needs= Project Attention". A reply on another profile clarified that born 1724, Virginia would be US Southern Colonies Project.

The Graves Line needs a lot of work, how do I begin to attempt fixing it? The father of William, Henry (born about 1700, m. Mary Williams), is the son of Ralph Graves III (m. Mary Pinkethman), who is the son of Ralph II (m. Unity White), who is the son of Ralph I (m. Rachel Croshaw), who is the son of Thomas Graves (immigrated to US from unknown location circa 1730). This is documented in The Graves Family of Granville and My Maternal Ancestors.

Graves-1965 and Graves-2797 appear to represent the same person because: I believe the birthdate I'm using as well as the birth and death places and nickname of course should all be overridden by yours.
