The family came to New Zealand on the Ship 'Thomas Harrison'. From the Passenger list - 400 tons Captain E.M. Smith Commander, Dr Thomas Rewick Surgeon, sailed from Gravesend, 26 May 1842, Emigrants embarked 24 May, arrived Nelson 25 Oct 1842, deaths on board 2 children, Emigrants 150 adults and 80 children.
