Benjamin Graves was born on Dec. 17, 1676 [or March 2, 1676/1677] in Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts, the son of Benjamin Graves and Mary Hoar. [1]
"Born March 2, 1676 at Concord, Mass., moved to Colchester 1709, bought a farm on the road to Lynne, 2 1/2 miles from Colchester Village and lived there until his death. He held a number of offices in the colonial town, died 1752, buried in Colchester. Tombstone still standing in good condition. He was the father of Benjamin of Haddam, Conn."[2] Benjamin married twice: first Mary Ruth Sterling and second Mary Haynes.[2] He died December 30, 1752 in Colchester, New London, Connecticut,[3] and was buried in the Colchester Burying Ground. [4]
