Of Lighthausel in Yorks. Married Mary, daughter, and co-heiress of Serjeant-at-Law Sir John Herdman Knt. of Stannington, Northumberland. Captain and paymaster of a Regiment in the Williamite Wars, he was murdered in his bed together with his wife, at Glaslough in 1689 by the Rapparee's for the money that he was carrying on behalf of the King's William's army.
