Robert Graves was born in Lincolnshire, England.

Robert was a farmer who was born about 1690 in Lincolnshire, England. His parents were Joseph Graves and Anne - ?.[1] He married Elizabeth Gray in 1711.[2] He died in 1756, buried on 24 Jan 1756 at St Michael, Billinghay, Lincolnshire. His occupation was recorded as Farmer.[3]

"In the name of God Amen. I Robert Graves of Walcott in the Parish o f Billinghay in the County and Diocese of Lincoln, Farmer being of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following. First I recommend my soul unto the hand God my creator hoping for a gracious acceptance in and through the mediation of Jesus Christ my only saviour and redeemer and my body to be buried at the discretion of my executor hereafter named, as for my worldly goods w here with the Lord has blessed me I dispose of them as follows.

First I give to my loving wife two cows and the entire furniture of one room and all things necessary also five bedsteads and hangings and all things belonging to them as pillows, bolsters, blankets, cover lids and two pairs of sheets for each bed.

I give and devise to my wife all my houses and land in Billinghay, North Kyme, Kirton Holm and ?... to her diring the term of her natural life as also the sum of four pounds a sack of wheat yearly and every year for four years succesively after my decease.

I give to my son Robert the sum of £20 and my houses and land at Kirt on Holm after his mothers decease to him and his heirs for ever.

I give to my son William the sum of £20 and my houses and land at North Kyme after his mothers decease to him and his heirs for ever.

I give and devise to my son John my house and land at Billinghay after his mothers decease to him and his heirs for ever and I appoint m y said s on John Graves Executor of this my last Will and Testament i n witness Where of I have here to set my hand and seal this nineteeth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and fifty six.
