Biography

. Margaret “Polly” Gray was born in Monroe County Feb. 21, 1822. She married Elisha Howell who was born March 31, 1818 and died March 31, 1888. He was the son of Abraham Howell and Sarah Andrews Howell. They had eight children. Sarah Gray Howell is interred at Howell Cemetery, Athens, Mississippi dates are not indicated on headstone.
