James and brother Joseph patented “Wing” 600 acres in Colbourne's District, Somerset Maryland on July 19, 1678 (Certificate in the name of William Stevens).
In 1696. with their wives, Margaret and Mary, respectively, they sold the tract.[1][2]
James patented “Grays Lot” on 7 Dec 1701 for 50 acres
James patented “Anamessex Marsh” on 13 Dec 1701
There are possibly two other children - William who is mentioned with Thomas and Sarah and half brother James Bredell as disturbing the peace. It is also mentioned in the same document that when father James Gray died, wife Margaret married Isaiah Bredell. Unamed daughter could be Sarah.
