Elizabeth's death record, indexed by the surnames Gray, Turpie and Petrie, confirms that, 10 years after the death of Alexander Turpie in 1841, she re-married to Alexander Petrie in Arbroath. The attribution of 'Gray' as her mother's maiden name must be an error.
