Charles Gordon Gray was born in 1896 at Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. He was the fourth and youngest son of Thomas Gray and Amelia Smith.[1]
On 22nd July 1915, Charles enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force for service overseas during th First World War.[2] He was posted to the 2nd Australian Field Artillery Brigade where he attained the junior non-commissioned rank of Bombardier. He returned to Australia 28th March 1919.
He passed away, aged 84 years, in 1979 at Heidelberg, Victoria.[3]
